Jordan White for TrueHoop on Reggie Jackson: “It’s not fair, really. Jackson is too talented, too experienced, and just too good to play in the Summer League. Monday, before his time on the court was cut short due to an injury, Jackson seemed to be going through the motions, not really caring about the game. His attitude could not have been more different Tuesday, and he showd just what he can do against the current competition when he cares. Jackson was simply dominant, scoring 35 points on just 19 shots, getting wherever he wanted on the court at whatever time he so pleased. He owned the fourth quarter, sinking the go-ahead layup that capped another fourth-quarter comeback. Coach Scott Brooks is going to have fun unleashing a Westbrook-Jackson lineup upon the rest of the league.”
Per Darnell Mayberry, Perk had some knee surgery: “Thunder center Kendrick Perkins underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Tuesday morning, The Oklahoman has learned. Perkins is expected to resume full basketball activities in two weeks. The scope, while considered routine for players with previous injuries, is not something Perkins envisioned needing this summer. He insisted at his exit interview in May that he didn’t require any type of surgery this offseason. Perkins also said last month that he was “excited” about the prospects of finally going through a summer surgery-free.”

Oh boy. Jenni Carlson asks, “Will marriage change Kevin Durant?”: “Thing is, the wife may not appreciate the husband trying to go on with life as though he’s still a bachelor. So, listen up KD. There are a few steps you can take to make this marriage thing work better. Lankard suggests, among other things, that spouses make time for small talk every day, that they appreciate each other and express that appreciation, that they make memories and that they do activities for just the two of them. She says the activities don’t have to be extravagant. Have a picnic. Watch a movie.” I also have a suggestion: Mind your own business.
The New Zealand recap of Steven Adams’ performance yesterday: “Adams’ efforts were more commendable in that they were achieved in a notable head to head against outstanding Pistons big man Andre Drummond who finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds. The Oklahoma coaches will be rapt with Adams’ early progress which hints at positive things ahead. He is considered a major development project, especially at the offensive end, but today’s performance shows they have certainly got something to work with.”
J.M. Poulard in a 5-on-5 on the most surprising offseason move: “The Thunder’s lack of transactions is as perplexing as it gets. The Spurs, Rockets and Clippers all got better. And yet, OKC has not yet made any move to ensure it maintains control of the West if healthy. It’s tough to definitively say the Thunder are still the best team in their conference at the moment, and that’s shocking.”
At Ballerball, Perk plans KD’s bachelor party: “Alright, now as the official organizer for KD’s bach party I got a couple of things to address. First off, Russ went ahead and got us reservations at Abuelo’s. Ya’ll don’t like it, take it up with a tree. Next, ya’ll don’t tell D-Fish about this. We all know when he starts drinkin’ that dude gets crazy. He’s always makin’ bets that he can do things in .4 seconds, which is stupid as hell. Once, when we were drinkin’ (responsibly, yo) this dude bet me 5K that he could down a beer, then strip to his boxers and jump in the pool, then swim across, then get out of the pool and run to McDonalds and back… in .4 seconds. I hella cashed out, but that ish is ridiculous. So keep it shut around Fish.”
