The timeline for Hamidou Diallo’s hyperextended elbow recovery is no longer shrouded in mystery. It will keep him out for at least a month.
Hopefully this injury doesn’t end up triflin’ with his breakout sophomore season like his elbow ailment did in his rookie campaign.
Erik Horne (The Athletic) on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s growth in the hostile ambiance of an away game. “Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, 21, was stopped briefly outside the visitors’ locker room by members of the Hampton University men’s basketball team to take photos. To them, Gilgeous-Alexander, a college-aged point guard who happens to be a second-year star in the making, has made it. But there was a time during the Thunder’s first road win of the season where Gilgeous-Alexander looked his age, like a player still trying to understand when to impose his precocious talent on an inferior team.”
It appears in video obtained by TMZ that Chris Paul let LeBron James pass wind in the direction of Oklahoma City natives. A bumfuzzling response from the King, to be sure.
Brady Trantham (The Franchise) on how the current Thunder team has usurped recent iterations in the fun zone, while its ethereal composition makes the fan connection somewhat tenuous: “Remember, the Thunder are in fact losing a lot of their games. They will more than likely lose more as the calendar turns to 2020 and beyond. The loyalty of the fanbase is there, but can that loyalty withstand the test of constantly coming up short in the meantime?”
